When you visit and create a connection on behalf of The Gathering INC, a local organization dedicated to Cast Members, you do more than just help and leave. You create lasting change in the lives of Cast Members.

Partners with The Gathering

Financial and spiritual church partners help us invest in our local ministry, The Gathering INC. They participate in #LoveOnStage as an extension of their ongoing ministry partnership.

Add-on opportunity

If you're going to be in the Orlando-area for a conference, seminar, or mission trip, visit one of the Disney Parks and help us reach Cast Members, without interfering or changing your visit in any way.

Individuals going to Disney

We follow the model of Jesus, who did not come to be served but to serve.

The idea of serving the person who is paid to serve others is radical, but Christ-like.

WHAT DO WE DO?

Volunteering with #LoveOnStage is as simple as being kind to Cast Members

As groups visit any Disney Park or hotel, you create connections with Cast Members. A connection is any act of love, service, or kindness towards a Cast Member. We help you tie every connection back to The Gathering INC, a local Orlando-based organization.

Call them by name

We are unique and created by God for a purpose. All Cast Members have name tags, making it easy to call them by their name. Show a smile, a friendly face, and speak to them as someone that matters. It’s an easy way to show the love of Jesus.

Take a picture

Most park guests are taking pictures of themselves, characters, and attractions. Asking for a photo with a Cast Member who typically doesn’t get asked can show them that they are valuable. Ideas include capturing the moment with housekeepers, custodial, merchandise hosts/hostesses, and servers at restaurants.

Say thank you

Giving a pre-printed or homemade thank you card is a fast way to say, “We see you! We appreciate you! You matter!” Our F.L.A.S.H. model is simple to follow and makes a big difference in their day. (We’ll teach it to you when you register your trip!)

Participate in Disney Activities

Commemorate your trip to Disney with a free Celebration Button as they are great conversation starters! Participating in other activities, like Epcot’s Kidcot, give opportunities to make talking with Cast Members part of your park experience.

Talk with Cast Members

Disney trains and encourages their Cast Members to be relational. If you’re waiting in line, eating a meal, or even asking for directions, have a genuine and meaningful conversation about where they are from, if they are new, and even the weather!

Trade Pins

Disney Pin Trading is an exciting, interactive experience where guests can trade pins with Cast Members and other guests. (And, you don’t have to have any pins to participate! Cast Members are happy to just show the pins they have, just ask!)

Where do you recommend we stay?

We highly recommend staying at a Disney Resort when participating with Love on Stage. This will provide you the maximum opportunity to connect with Cast Members both at the Resort and the Parks.

Are there other ways to connect with Cast Members outside the Park?

The primary way to engage Cast Members is by staying at a Disney Resort or visiting a Disney Park. By partnering with The Gathering INC through Love on Stage you will help connect Cast Members to local ministries ready to serve them.

How can we stay in touch with Cast Members we meet?

Social Media is a great way to connect with Cast Members beyond your visit.

Are there other things we can do to serve Cast Members while on our trip?

Love on Stage is our primary way of engaging Cast Members while enjoying your visit to a Disney Park.

Is Love on Stage a stand alone mission trip?

We know many people come through Central Florida for various reasons. Love on Stage is an “Add-on” to enhance your travel plans. We recommend staying at a Disney Resort the day before and/or after your visit to the park. The more time you stay, the more time you have to build relationships with Cast Members.

Are there other ministries we can serve with while in Central Florida?

Yes, of course! We would be happy to connect you those we partner with.
